I would say the obvious - writing. But my favorite part is revising. I know that sounds crazy, especially when it could take several revisions before I feel I can even send a manuscript to an editor.
To me, revising is when you get to the art of writing. When I first get words down on the page, it's sometimes just stream of consciousness. When I sit down to revise, I'm applying conscious consideration of each and every word, tone, and pace. That's what I love.
