My latest novel series is about an English backpacker who comes to Australia and goes travelling with a very dangerous man, and how her whole life falls apart based on this encounter. It was motivated by the many lovely and trusting backpackers I met when I lived and worked in the Northern Territory and the sense of how precarious this trust that they placed in unknown people was.

Hi Graham, How are things with you? I wonder if I could grab a few minutes of your time later this week? I'm wanting to know if you've used Goodreads to advertise your books, or their 'widgets' and plugins? Or if there's any advantage in having a couple of giveaways?
