What’s the best thing about being a writer?

Kevin Marsh The best thing about being a writer is having total control over events that happen in my book. That is not quite the case however as the characters sometimes take over and I'm drawn along with whatever is going on in the plot. I can of course change things to suit myself and claw back some of that control. I am as you may have guessed a bit of a control freak!
The other thing that is great about being a writer is the reseach I have to do. Often my characters get themselves into a fix and I have to research topics that I have no knowledge of in order to get them out of a situation. Anyway, I'll stop there as I could go on.
Its great being a writer.
