Thank you for writing this book! I'm madly recommending it to everyone (except kids) at the bookstore I work at in Charleston. I wanted to know if you ever wrote a full version of red catalog Carolyn?

(view spoiler)[Thanks Michelle! I appreciate the recommendations. As a first time novelist I can use all the help I can get.
I haven't ever written a full version of red catalog Carolyn, but I have kicked the idea around semi-seriously. (I'm going to mark this as spoilery). I'm a sucker for evil twin stories. I'm a big Buffy fan and Dopplegangland (season 3, the one with vampire Willow) was one of my top 2 or 3 favorites. (I think I liked the s5 finale best.)
Anyway, yeah, I would loooooooooove to see red catalog Carolyn. I could totally go nuts with that. I mean, it's not like good Carolyn is all that warm and fuzzy, right? And how bad would something have to be to give Father the shudders? The mind, it reels.
So maybe. (hide spoiler)]

Hi Mr. Hawkins, I really REALLY enjoyed the LIbrary at Mount Char. I'd never quite read a book like it. I was ready to give up halfway through but once the threads started coming together I was hooked. I was wondering who your influences were (I have a guess of one or two but I want to see if i'm right!) and what the inspiration behind the story was. Thank you! ? (I needed to include a question mark apparently)

I just finished Mount Char and I really liked it a lot. Like, a lot a lot! I'm a regular librarian so I liked it on multiple levels. I was wondering if you could clarify what some of the kids' catalogs were. I got a good sense of Carolyn, Jennifer, David, Michael, Margaret and Peter (kind of), but what about the rest?
