What’s the best thing about being a writer?

Natasha Yim I'm a children's author, so connecting with kids at events and school visits is so rewarding. I love it when they enjoy the story or characters or in my biographies, the historical facts of my subjects. I also love seeing my name on the cover of my book and knowing that I created it. It's like giving birth to a baby. I spend years of total amazement that I actually birthed a book! And there is deep satisfaction in knowing all the hard work, sleepless nights, and endless waiting for editors and agents finally paid off.
