When I first started writing, I got a lot of advice that was technical, that I had to write a certain way...a way that I personally found really boring. Then a writer friend of mine encouraged me to write what I wanted to read in a way that made we want to read it.
That would be my advice for any aspiring writer: Write something that you would want to read, and write it in a way that you would want to read. Your book might not become a best-seller, yet it will reach an audience that will be thankful you put your book out there.
