I usually answer this question by saying that I don't experience this state. I have not yet gotten to a place where all words fail me. Since I really, really enjoy reading, I usually read the work of some of the many writers whose work I admire and I keep rooting around to discover new writing. I also go out and about on public transport or out to the food court at the mall and watch people and I record what I see and think. Next thing I know some new idea comes alive. Writing happens all the time.
