How do you get inspired to write?

Beth Gualda I'm always ready to write because I always have ideas in my head I want to get down before I forget them. I get ideas for scenes, dialog, and plots for books from everything around me. Certain experiences I have will stay with me and impress me enough to build a story around it. A lot of the time, when I'm in the middle of writing one book, something in that book will spawn an idea for another, or a minor character I introduce develops in my mind to the point I need to tell their story, too.
