Hello Samantha! I just finished reading White Lilies and this book literally had me laughing and crying ( sometimes at the same time) however I wanted to know what inspired you to write this story, I mean was it from a personally experience like knowing someone that went through such an event or something else entirely? Just have to say you are amazing writer!! Keep up the good work!!

Samantha Christy Natalie - first off, thank you so much for the 5-star rating. I'm flattered that you love the book. To answer your question, no. I do not have any personal experience with surrogacy (pregnancy, yes - 4 times). This was a story that had been rolling around in my head for a year or so and it finally bugged me so much, I had to write it down. I wanted to write a story with a strong female friendship, but I wasn't sure how readers would feel about Skylar falling for her friend's husband. I agonized over how quickly the Skylar-Griffin relationship could play out. I, myself, cried several times while writing this book. I felt like I was Skylar. I felt like I was Erin. It's an amazing experience to get in the heads of my characters so deeply that I can make you think I went through the experience myself. That is the greatest compliment you can give me. Thank you <3
