My (then 16 year old) daughter and I were having a great conversation about accepting ourselves as we are. I got the idea for Ingrid's character from that conversation. Ingrid is a young, mute girl bitter against her silence needing to find a place of contentment and to see value in the way she IS instead of how she wishes she could be.
