Good authors inspire me, Neil Gaiman, Alistair Reynolds, Robert A. Heinlein, going all the way back to Edgar Rice Burroughs. Their stories roll around in my head like one of the tanks I used to ride around in, altering the terrain of my mind, until I have my own stories to put down.
