Goodreads asked Scott King:

What’s the best thing about being a writer?

Scott King When you hear about how a reader connected with the story. I was at a signing once and a mother and her daughter came up to me. The girl wasn't even ten but she had read my book "Cupcakes vs. Brownies." The girl told me she had gluten allergies, like the protagonist from the book and that the story helped her learn that her parents getting a divorce wasn't her fault. My eyes watered and it was touching to hear that something I wrote made a difference to someone else.
