What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

Sharon Lipman WRITE!! Seriously - write anything, write often. It doesn't have to be amazing, it doesn't even have to be on the laptop/computer/electronic anything. I write A LOT by hand - I have notes books everywhere and I always have one in my bag. Inspiration strikes at the strangest times and you can't always boot up the laptop to write it all down. The first draft is ALWAYS awful. Resist the urge to edit as you write. Get the story down first, worry about your grammar and spelling later. Most of all - enjoy!
