How do you get inspired to write?

Gloria Herrmann Life inspires me, simple things really, like going grocery shopping or driving somewhere. You can find inspiration in so many things, people, places...the possibilities are endless. Take for example, waiting in line at a store, you have that moment when you can quietly watch and observe, these are the foundation of future potential characters. I like to catalog features, movements, combinations I might not have ever considered. A flaw here or personality trait I didn't think to include. Another form of inspiration is talking to other authors, I think sharing that excitement and love for what we do just encourages me to continue to hone my craft and to support others trying to do the same.
