Goodreads asked Stephanie Robinson:

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Stephanie Robinson The idea for THE SECRET FILES OF FAIRDAY MORROW came from my co-author, Jessica Haight's childhood. At her grandparents' house everyone could hear footsteps upstairs when no one was up there. Her grandfather told her it was Ruby Begonia and her High-Heeled Sneakers. Jessica wrote a children's poem about it, which I read. When she decided to turn the poem into a chapter book she and I sat down and brainstormed the story and characters. So much fun writing a book with a friend!
