Goodreads asked Bob Andelman:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Bob Andelman I've experienced headaches and stomachaches, but writer's block? Not so much. I think it's the eat or die imperative: if I don't write, my wife, child, my dog and I will starve. That's pretty good daily incentive for waking up each day and getting to work at the keyboard.

It also doesn't hurt that I love what I do and generally can't wait to get at whatever book or other assignment is awaiting my attention.

Writer's block always struck me as something that affects people who are either inexperienced or trying to out-think their project. But that's just my perspective.
