Hi, Jennifer! My best friend and I adored ATBP. I can truly say it's helped me loads and changed my life. My best friend and I have two questions. Loren: How did you choose the places for Finch and Violet to visit on their wanderings, out of any options you had? From me: Will there be an actress for Eleanor in the movie? Will Violet's memories of Eleanor be portrayed through flashback? Love, Loren and Mackenzie xx

Hi, Loren and Mackenzie! Thank you both for reading ATBP and for letting me know it changed your life. That means so much to me! Like Finch and Violet, I grew up in Indiana, but I had only heard of some of the places I included in the book. I chose most of the wanderings from stories I'd heard about them or from books like Weird Indiana and Roadside America, which list all sorts of unusual attractions. It was really hard to narrow it down to the wanderings in the book, but in the end, I chose the ones that I fell in love with most, and the ones I thought would suit the tone and needs of the specific scenes that needed to happen around them. In April, I traveled with the film's director, producers, and my agent to Indiana, where we explored all the wanderings in the book. My favorite was the Blue Flash roller coaster! As for Eleanor, I don't know if there will be an actress playing her in the movie. I'm writing the script right now, and am still not sure if there will be flashbacks or not. But since Elle Fanning is playing Violet, it's fun to imagine Dakota playing Eleanor. :) Love, Jennifer xx

Hello, Jennifer! His book changed my life, really! The way you wrote ATBP was so beautiful! I feel that this story came into my life to change my thoughts about life, and I can not thank you for it. I know that the film will be wonderful too. I would say that I imagine Finch as the following actors: Nicholas Hoult (of course), Jeremy Kapone, Dylan Sprayberry and Jakub Gierszal. And you? You have a favorite? Love, Ka.

Dear Jennifer, After reading your book All the Bright Places, [which is absolutely brilliant and changed my thoughts about suicide] I read over the author's note and I found out that your partner committed suicide and if I may ask... how did you cope? Did writing All the Bright Places help you? I'm truly sorry if I'm being too personal, I'm a very curious person. Sincerely, Anna
