Kikki asked Rem Williams:

This is something I'm kinda struggling with myself for my story. How do you decide how many viewpoints to use? I feel like I need 4, but I'm also worried that it might be too many. It is never four consecutively, but rather there is a total of 4. Got any advice?

Rem Williams Ah, viewpoints; my old friends. I had a similar problem, to be honest. I used to either have too many or just one that was very vague and not okay. Generally, I try to keep to as little as possible. One or two, at most. But you could use as many as want if you think it will enhance the quality of the story. Take, for example, George R.R. Martin. Each of the ASoIaF books have, at least, four different viewpoints. So, really, it's whatever you think works best for the story.
