Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Nellie K. Neves I was sitting in a doctor's clinic on one of those tables with the crinkly paper, and I was in the depths of a really dark time in my life. My health had taken a beating, and I was waiting for another doctor to tell me the same bleak news as the last one had. It was right about then that I looked up and saw the vent. Now, something you should know about me is that when my life gets really difficult, I slip into a character's life and live that for a month or two. There in that doctor's office I thought, what if a man fell out of that vent right there, what would I do? Believe it or not, that's how Nightwatch started, and it pulled me through some tough times because I had somewhere to escape and to cope.
