Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Steven Schneider In 2012 I learned of the death of a girlfriend from high school and also of her life after I knew her dedicated to music thanatology at the end of life. I admire this greatly and one of her friends steered me toward books that she had studied. A few threads of stories I started when I knew her began to weave into the story of her life. So, she was a muse, and became Charlotte in the novel.
