I watch films, read books, play video games, frequent theme parks all in the pursuit of studying narrative. Then I go into a room or a place with no distractions and brainstorm! I plot my books on paper with a pencil and get a tremendously strong idea of what I want my story to be about before committing it to a hard drive.
