Michael J. Sullivan:
Hi there, Not so much of a question, just yet another request that you PLEASE continue writing the adventures of Royce and Hadrian. Out of all of the books I've ever read, this is, quite honestly, one of my very favorite book series. I read the Chronicles and the Revelations all within a month and I literally missed the characters when I was finished (so much so that I've started all over again :)?

That's so great to hear. Robin felt exactly the same way...she was even a little depressed after the end of Revelations. Its a big part of why The Chronicles exist. The response from The Death of Dulgath certainly is positive, and that bodes well for a fourth Chronicle story. But we are really close to the release at the moment. The ebook is only 2 months old, the hardcover JUST hit the stores, and the audio comes out tomorrow. So the people I'm getting feedback from right now are "avid fans" - and so hearing that they liked the latest installment is a good indicator - but also something that I expect (unless I really screwed things up).
Generally, it's once the book is out for 4 - 6 months that I have enough data from a wide range of readers to make the final decision. Currently I'm doing my rewrites on books #2 - #5 of The First Empire and I plan on having that "wrapped up" in April or May. That sounds like a good time to make a decision on more Riyria. I remain "cautiously optimistic."
Thanks for adding your vote to the growing pile. It's feedback like this that really helps during the decision making process.

Michael, have you ever read the Drizzt Do'Urden series by R.A. Salvatore? I am currently cruising through them and I'm finding them to be a fun read. I see a lot of Hadrian and (post Hadrian's influence) Royce as well. I do have you to thank for getting me into the fantasy genre and look forward to your upcoming works. Josh

Hi Michael. I'm curious about your decision to "revisit" a story at least somewhat already told in the Royce and Hadrian books. I've read other answers about the books exploring what really happened which I can get behind as a history major. But how do you feel about readers already knowing the ending? Thank you for your time! - Samantha
