What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

Colin M. Drysdale Sit down and write something. Anything. Don't concentrate on tyring to make it good (that's what editing is for). Just concentrate on getting something down on the page from start to finish. Once you have that, read over it, look at which bits you like and which you don't and then work out how to changes the latter in the former. If you can't make it good, this doesn't mean you've failed. It just means that it's time to move onto something else.
