How do you get inspired to write?

Alison Aimes Truth be told, I wake up most days itching to write. Mix in a good song with my usual thinking place and I'm off, typing away. But if I'm stuck, reading other authors' fabulous stories can be a great inspiration. Finally, posing the simple question 'what if' never fails.
