Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Martin Perks I watched a lot of TV programmes about people searching for long-lost relatives, or people who’ve been adopted searching for their birth parents. Most of these have happy endings, so I decided to do a different take on it, by having a main character who finds out his real parents aren’t at all what he was hoping for. In fact, what if his life and the lives of his family were suddenly put at risk, with possibly devastating consequences.
