Hello Andrew, I just finished Forsaken, really dug it, and want to read another of your books. Which one do you recommend? :-) Best, Alana P.S. Did you self publish Forsaken? If so, would you go that route again or attempt to find an agent to represent your book?

Hi Alana,
Thank you for spending your time with my words. I'm delighted you enjoyed Forsaken, despite the Rineheart family's dark secrets and deeds.
Yes, I self-publish all my books. And yes, I would absolutely do it again... and I do! Horror is a very small genre and I find it more enjoyable to have a direct connection with my readers and give them stories as soon as I can, rather than waiting 12 months for an agent to take it to market, another 18 months for an editor to massage it through the system, and a publisher to market it (or not). It's a lot of work on my end (50% of my job is the business side) and some days it seems exhausting, but ultimately it's very rewarding. Plus, I get to work directly with great editors, cover designers, book bloggers, etc., and I value that connection and feedback. I'm a big fan of what indie publishing has done for readers, and I think horror is primed to be pushed forward by indie voices in particular. After all, some of the most unique and interesting stories are coming out of that space... not New York publishers chasing a trend from two years ago.
Cheers!

Just finished "Forsaken". Being 66 and the horror buff that I am, I am surprised I have not discovered you before now, but, I am certainly glad I did. You scared the hell out of me! What fun! When I find an author I like, I read everything they have written so, which of your works do you suggest I read next? So glad to have found you!
