Inspiration comes from all over the place but putting the thoughts down on paper is where it gets tricky. If I have an idea I do nothing. If it sticks in my head, I start writing something about it and then and put it aside. If it keeps getting re-worked in my brain I think it's probably worth spending some serious time with. For me it's a slow process.
