Sheila Myers
Sheila Myers asked Joseph Max Lewis:

You're books are obviously Christian fiction. What other categories (genres) do you feel best describe your work?

Joseph Max Lewis Hi Sheila, sorry for the delay in getting back to you, its been a heck of a week. Most of what I write falls under the definition of "thriller," though Baghdad Burning can also be called military fiction. As a fellow author you well know that the term “Christian Fiction” is used by some to pigeon hole and dismiss our work. You don't see Lincoln Child and Douglas Preston’s stuff being called Buddhist fiction or Richard Dawkins atheist fiction (just kidding) or Dan Brown heretic fiction (kidding again), but if Jesus Christ is even mentioned in a positive way - Boom - you’re Christian fiction.

So, unless I know I’m talking to a Christian, I always describe my work as Thriller. Thanks for stopping by.
