How do you get inspired to write?

Philip Pearce Often it's something that happens that reminds me of a story from past experiences. The hard part isn't having the story. The hard part is learning to make the association with something that has happened with a story I have in me. Then, as I said in an earlier answer, I have to develop an outline for a chapter in my mind and get it written down. Bottom line for me is I have to pay attention to what's going on and make the connections.
