Emily asked Jeannie Lin:

2 questions, if I'm allowed. I've had several of your books recommended to me. Where would you recommend someone begin reading your books who has not picked one up yet? I'm very excited to see that you write historical romances that are set in Asia, instead of the Regency. It's always fun to read something a bit new and different. What inspired you to write novels set in Asia?

Jeannie Lin Hello! So sorry for the late response. My personal favorite as a starter is The Lotus Palace. If you're looking for a lighthearted read, my readers also enjoy My Fair Concubine. I grew watching Chinese historical dramas and I'm also inspired by the strong women in my family. When I was looking for a story to write, those were the elements that came from my heart.

So glad you reached out. Thanks for stopping by!
