Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Jacobus Gideon Louis Nieuwoudt Wanted to do a quirky vampire thing for a long time. Had an idea which I started fleshing out but other things got in the way so I left it. A few years pass and I pick it up again. Started out as a animated film script for children that I wanted to enter into a competition. Got really pissed off when I was asked during the submission process to state my race. So I told them to stick it. Soon, I started converting it into a book. Took my original idea and made it adult. That is what Vampire Jay is today.
