J.D. Lakey
J.D. Lakey asked Sean Kerr:

Do you ever have conversations with your characters?

Sean Kerr I don't so much have a conversation with them, but they do talk to me...if that doesn't sound bonkers. I need to try and find a different voice for each character when I am writing, and because I try to give them individual personalities, I often hear their conversations in my head as I/m writing them, and they usually dictate where I'm going with a plot point or scene as well. So many times I have had the plan to do a certain thing, but when it gets to it, the character can't do it because it's not in his nature! So they do guide me and change the story, and I can only hope that that is a sign of creative writing and not madness lol. Hope that helps, and thank you very much for the question xxx
