Sometimes people will say things that inspire me to write, incidental things that spark some kind of idea. Other writing inspires me too. Sometimes I read a novel and I get this feeling, almost an impatient feeling that I'd rather be writing than reading. The passing of time inspires me to write. I'm aware that we only have so much time on this earth. I'd like to spend more time writing.
