Hi Bruce: Thanks for reaching out, and for your kind words. Glad you enjoyed Flat Spin. You asked about what I enjoy reading. Truthfully, I tend not to read much mystery fiction these days, if only because I fear that I might subconsciously impart the style or words of other writers on my own work. I'm also pursuing a master's degree at present and am swamped with course-required texts. That said, I did read an absolutely terrific historical novel not long ago that could qualify as a mystery, PHILIP NOLAN, THE MAN WITHOUT A COUNTRY, by former Navy SEAL Chuck Pfarrer. Chuck's a long-time buddy so I'm biased, but he's a truly fine writer and Nolan is first-rate. It comes out in April. Looking forward to your impressions of the other offerings in my Logan series. Love historical novels -and ones that deal with sailing ships. Will definitely add to my wish list - the ORIGINAL "Man Without a Country" was one of the first books I ever read. Just finished Voodoo Ridge - not quite sure what I think of it - very mixed emotions. Wondering if you might give a bit of what you were thinking in the way you took the book?
