Traci York-Goble asked Will Schwalbe:

Loved your book The End of Your Life Book Club!! My review can be found at getbetweenthecovers.weebly.com Thank you for the wonderful book. I have recommended it to a few people and we are reading it for the book club that I started in my small Minnesota community. Do you have any suggestions for a book club read?

Will Schwalbe Thanks so much for this great question, and for your kind and generous review. I'm so delighted that the book spoke to you. I especially like that you mentioned the "thank you" notes in the review -- one of my mom's very favorite topics! So this is my thank-you note!

As for suggestions for a book club read, I highly recommend a book by John Williams called STONER. It's a classic from the 1960s that had been all but forgot for many years. It's about an English professor at the University of Missouri, and tells the story of his life. I found it deeply moving and there is so much there for a book club to discuss.

Another choice (which you may have already read) is ORPHAN TRAIN. I finally read this and enjoyed it tremendously. It brings up a fascinating chapter in American history. I also loved the idea of conversations between generations.

Happy to provide more if you tell me what kinds of books you most like and what books your book club has enjoyed. And thanks so much again for this and all!

ps: Please excuse typos -- I am writing this in haste and want to submit so don't have time to proofread properly!
