How do you get inspired to write?

Jackie Laberif In the helping profession business, we give a lot of ourselves mentally—a lot going out, therefore we must find ways to refuel from time to time. So, I’m inspired by the ‘what if’ in many life situations. Creating my ‘what ifs’ into stories has become therapeutic for me. I have many characters that live within me that over the years have been screaming to come out and it has been mentally refreshing to bring them alive on paper. So, I’m inspired by the psychology of the human mind, past experiences I have encountered, coupled with an eccentric imagination (that I have now embraced) keeps me inspired. I absorb myself in each character's psyche to become a storyteller that narrates the soul, spirit and mind of all the characters.
