Goodreads asked C.W. Clark:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

C.W. Clark I tend to practice an entirely non-linear style of writing, which means that I write scenes that I am interested in at the moment and then fill in the lines between afterward. It keeps me motivated during that particular scene and also gives me definitive start and end points along the way. It's much easier to avoid mental blockage when the part I am writing isn't entirely open-ended.
