Goodreads asked Danielle Clode:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Danielle Clode Generally I set myself a regular time slot for writing (usually first thing in the morning) and I write until I've completed a word count (1000 words). It doesn't matter if it's good or bad, just so long as it's written. The quicker I finish, the quicker I can go do something else! After a few days it gets much easier and the writing flows more smoothly. Sometimes though, the block might be caused by not knowing enough - then I might have to go and do some more reading instead.
