Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Mickey Hadick Last November, after the election, I was deeply disturbed that our country chose Donald Trump as president. It's clear there were many forces conspired, but the underlying problem is a strong undercurrent of misogyny and racism. I felt like many Americans had been abandoned by our political leaders, all of whom are squabbling over their personal interests.

That congealed in my mind as two children abandoned in the woods, who fall into the clutches of a narcissistic despot, Big Baby. The two children must find a way to survive and somehow save their family.
