Second question. What changed your mind when it came to NOT using the alternate ending to where the evil of Dezrel wins and there wasn't any hope of the normal hopeful ending most stories have?

(view spoiler)[It just...happened, and at a very specific spot. In the fourth Half-Orc book, Harruq confronts Qurrah at the end. Qurrah throws himself at Harruq's feet and asks for forgiveness/death. And originally, Harruq was supposed to refuse. Effectively as punishment for him refusing to offer forgiveness despite having received it many times himself, the story would follow with Qurrah becoming a lich and being directly responsible for Thulos's arrival into Dezrel.
Things would kind of go on from there. Instead of Qurrah and Tess effectively helping battle the demons by the end, they'd still be helping. Tess was to die during the final battle, and Qurrah flee with her body to recreate her as an undead abomination similar to himself. And so it goes, and goes, one domino after another. The angels falling at the end of King of the Vile? Now Tess and Qurrah aren't there to help, only hinder, to capitalize on the chaos. The growing orc horde to the east? Originally to be enslaved by the two.
Would this whole storyline been fun? Sure. I had some particularly awesome moments in mind, but over all, I'm much happier having gone this route instead. (hide spoiler)]

Really random and I wasn't sure where else to share this, but I finished Skyborn book one (one of the absolute best books I've read ever by the way. Instantly tied with the shadowdance series as one of my all-time favorites), and later I was cruising through YouTube and came across this song by Lindsay Stirling "Take Flight" https://youtu.be/1Boi6PfDeNg Can you hear the entire storyline in it like I can?
