Cristina Machado
Cristina Machado asked Anna Chant:

Hi, Anna, I discovered your Kenneth's queen and I am reading its, very exciting find a tale about MacAlpin's Scotland period. Really love Dark Ages, Celts, Picts and other people and places in this little know age. I'm curious about your next Women Dark Age's tale, will be it setting also in Scotland? Is about another forgotten queen? I also like Merovingian/Carolingian stories.

Anna Chant Hi Cristina, thank you for your question. I hope you are enjoying the book! I agree the Dark Ages are fascinating - so many people who helped shape Europe and we know so little about them! Kenneth Mac Alpin is a good example of a king who deserves to be better known. In the scraps of information we have, he emerges as a true Dark Age leader - devious, brutal and yet capable of amazing things! My next book is about another British woman, but not a Scottish one. Again we do not know her name, but her story is remarkable. It's set in an earlier period than Kenneth's Queen. I'm still at an early stage of writing, so I'm afraid I can't give away too much information just yet! I'll be updating this page as I get nearer completion.
