What if he was indeed a rake of the highest order and in order to protect his heart, used women as a fleeting form of entertainment--seduce them and move on. The only way he'd ever let us see that part of him is if he forgot about Keelan...

My youngest son got a concussion a few years ago and lost his memory for a while. Thankfully, it all eventually returned except for the day of the accident. Those days were terrifying for both my son and me. I was able to draw from the experience when I wrote Hart's Reward.
