Goodreads asked V.S. Watson:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

V.S. Watson If you're stumped with where the scene or plot should go while writing, I'd recommend first reading over your work again to see how the narrative is flowing. That usually has been enough of a jump-starter for me if I ever struggled with 'writer's block' - you can usually glean something new from revisiting what you've written before.

The most important lesson to learn is to ALWAYS keep writing regardless of whether you hit a metaphorical wall or not. Maybe take a day or two away from your writing so you can have a fresh perspective on it, but get right back on it and push through. Still having trouble with the same scene? Skip it and move on to the next one; don't let one part derail your efforts. Usually after some time away and working on another scene will give you that "Aha!" moment that you need to progress.

Best of luck to everyone writing out there; you can do it!
