I really love study series and glass series! Where did you get the ideas for all the characters' unique name and their world? And at what time setting did the story happened? In the future?

Hi Fatimah! Glad you've enjoyed my books! I find names for my characters in a couple ways - I have a few baby name books that I use - before I start a new novel or story, I comb through the book and find names that I like and that have a special meaning that might match a character. I'll also use my reader's names - sometimes when I'm at book signings, I'll meet someone with an interesting name. I also find names in newspaper and magazine articles.
My books are not set in any particular time period - they're in a fantasy world that is not linked to our world - this way I could have horses and swords and independent women and without being limited by historical details :)

Besides the new science fiction series coming next year, do you plan on writing another fantasy series like the Study/Soulfinder series? Maybe another series in the same universe like the Glass series? I'm so in love with this universe, I really love to read more stories from it!

In Shadow Study, I understood (and enjoyed) having the alternating POV. My question is, why are Yelena's chapters in first person, but Valek's and Janco's in third? I know Yelena's previous books were in first person, and the short stories about Valek and Janco were in third. Is that the reason you continued that in this book?
