Goodreads asked Bill Broun:

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

Bill Broun Fight to make your vision come to life. Fight -- bravely, relentlessly, with your blood on fire, or when it runs cold. All the negatives that hector and stalk aspiring writers -- despair, addictions, self-destructiveness, anger, fear, economic hardship -- can be used as part of your art. I'm not saying that struggling makes you a better artist, but you often can find gifts in the toughest situations.
