Goodreads asked Lilly Avalon:

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

Lilly Avalon Write! By that I mean write whatever comes into that pretty little noggin of yours. Don't censor yourself. Let yourself go into whichever path your creative mind chooses to take you. You can edit later. Trust me, the first draft of every single story you put together will be a horrible draft. It will be riddled with mistakes--from spelling and grammar to complete plot holes. You're not perfect and you shouldn't expect perfection right away.

The most important one: Don't give up. It's easy to give up. For some writers, they can write out whole drafts in a month. For others, it may take a whole year for one draft. Work at whatever pace works for you and don't let the small snags and speed bumps along the way derail your dream. Don't let one negative comment throw you. Haters are gonna hate, don't allow them to be the reason why you're not writing. I've had good AND bad reviews. Not everyone is going to like your style of writing. Let it go like water on a duck's back and keep pressing forward. You will not regret it.
