Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Janet Uhlar I was a juror in the high-profile criminal trial of Whitey Bulger. Going into the trial, I anticipated being disturbed by Bulger's alleged criminality. What I didn't anticipate was the depth of the corruption within the FBI, DOJ, and CIA -- or that the media didn't accurately portray this corruption.
Following the trial, I interviewed many -- including Whitey Bulger, and realized that the story the public has been given was carefully weaved and controlled. The question is why?
