Goodreads asked C. McNair Wilson:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

C. McNair Wilson Mostly, I just start writing, doddling, scribbling. That will jump start my brain 89.63337% of the time. Don't start your day scrolling through email! Start by creating something. Place something in the world that wasn't there before you started your day. If I waited for the right words to come to mind I would likely still be working on my 2nd book. I am currently writing my SIXTH book. (and have a good bit already written on 3 or 4 other books. WRITE! Also, I find that reading a few pages, a chapter, from an inspiring book ALWAYS gets my mind working on my own words & thoughts. (Try: Madeleine L'Engle's "Walking On Water"; "Juicy Pens, Thirsty Paper" by SARK; "Wild Mind" by Natalie Goldberg. There are many more that inspire me. Check the book list posted on my blog: www.TeaWithMcNair.com. <----
