Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Evan Bond When I was in high school a teacher gave us an assisignment to write a short story. I wanted to write an action packed thriller about a cop and his sister. I endearingly titled it Miami Hostage. My teacher expressed her enthusiasm over the story and got me thinking about a career in writing. I went to work on a novel based on the characters from the short story. It took me longer than I had expected, but here we are.
