Goodreads asked Brenda Faucon:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Brenda Faucon I write scenes in nicely lined notebooks with a fountain pen. When I want to write, even if I have nothing in mind but just want to write, I'll either go outside in the sunshine, find a place to sit - it could be under a tree near a brook, or somewhere with good people watching (like a cafe terrace). Then I think up a scene that I need, or just something that might happen in the lives of my characters. It's a way to get to know my characters. I answer a question to myself: "what would they do if... ?" And take it from there. Another way to think about things is to go to bed with my headset on, some good music, and just dream away.
